Columbia, S.C. – July 28, 2010 – There’s an old saying about birds of a feather, which makes it no wonder that two of the country’s premier liberal political insiders – John Spratt and Jim Clyburn – are hosting a DC fundraising event tomorrow for one of their own, Vincent Sheheen.

Clyburn and Spratt have been two of Nancy Pelosi’s top lieutenants in leading our nation down a path of fiscal destruction.

Spratt was Nancy Pelosi’s strongman during the passage of Obamacare, a program that will cost our country $2.5 trillion while at the same time leading to less affordable and less accessible healthcare.

Clyburn and Spratt both championed President Obama’s job-killing “stimulus” plan, a bill that has further hampered our economic recovery while putting the country even further into debt. Sheheen shares the views of his free-spending colleagues on the stimulus, last year calling it “what the people out there need right now.” (AP, 4/30/09)

We need a Governor who will stand up to Washington’s intrusion into our lives and wallets, not one who will embrace its liberal elitism.”
