Republican gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley picked up the endorsement of Gun Owners of America, a grassroots group that supports 2nd Amendment rights.

Haley advertises that she is concealed weapons permit holder on her campaign website, and Gun Owners of America vice president Tim Macy said Haley sees eye-to-eye with the group’s positions.

“Nikki Haley stands 100 percent behind the rights of South Carolina’s gun owners and sportsmen,” Macy said in a statement. “In particular, Rep. Haley strongly supports concealed carry of firearms by law-abiding citizens and will work to ease unreasonable restrictions on CWP holders.”
