Dear Fellow Republican,

Each Fourth of July we are reminded of the ideals of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” that are enshrined so beautifully in our Declaration of Independence.

As we celebrate America’s 237th birthday, may we give thanks for the God-given principles of freedom and liberty embraced by our Founding Fathers. Due to their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of so many American patriots since our founding, we still enjoy these freedoms today.

In reflecting on the birth of our nation, I feel it is essential to recognize how much this special day changed the fate of history. We are so fortunate to live in a nation where we can freely express our beliefs and determine our own political destiny.

The values that we as conservatives hold so dear are the same ideals that our forbearers discussed in the days leading to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It is my hope and desire that these time-proven values continue to live on for centuries and centuries to come. Please join me in fighting for them every day.

Whether you are at the beach, on the lake, or spending time at home, I hope that you and your family all safely enjoy the pomp and circumstance used to pay tribute to this day and to our nation.
