Columbia, S.C. – The South Carolina Republican Party today issued a statement following news that Democrat Rick Wade has withdrawn from the United States Senate race:

“The S.C. Republican Party said from day one that Rick Wade is too liberal for South Carolina. Rick Wade has finally admitted it,” said SCGOP Chairman Matt Moore.

“Records matter. Rick Wade’s record includes authoring President Obama’s failed $787 billion stimulus bill and sending taxpayer dollars to his political cronies at companies like Solyndra,” Moore continued. “Our research team deserves credit for telling South Carolinians the truth about Rick Wade.”
