Press Release: Hope Walker named SCGOP Executive Director

Columbia, S.C. – SCGOP Chairman Matt Moore has appointed Hope Walker as the state party’s new executive director, effective immediately. Walker is the first female executive director in the S.C. Republican Party’s history.

“No one is more qualified than Hope Walker to lead our state party into the 2016 presidential election. Hope’s connections to our grassroots activists and elected officials are strong and we know she’ll do an incredible job,” said Chairman Moore.

About Hope Walker:

Hope Walker previously served as State Director for Mike Huckabee for President (2015-2016), RNC/SCGOP State Director (2014), SCGOP Political Director (2013), and SCGOP Member Services Director (2011-2012).

Hope is originally from Irmo and is a 2011 graduate of Newberry College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a double minor in History and Spanish where she was active as Student Body President. Hope has experience in every area of the South Carolina Republican Party, ranging from campaigning and fundraising to event planning and constituent service.
