Press Release: Chairman Drew McKissick Congratulates Ralph Norman On His Victory

COLUMBIA, S.C.– Today, South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Drew McKissick released the following statement on the special runoff election in South Carolina’s Fifth Congressional District:

“Voters in the Fifth Congressional District sent a clear message that they want their conservative values represented in Washington, D.C. I am confident that Ralph Norman and our Republican team will unite to reach out to voters and defeat the Democrat candidate backed by Nancy Pelosi and her liberal special interest groups.”

“Ralph Norman has a proven record of fiscal accountabilty, growing jobs, and fighting for our men and women in uniform. Archie Parnell is an extreme liberal Democrat far out of the mainstream of the Fifth District who will oppose President Trump’s agenda at every turn. The only way to make our country stronger is to send Ralph Norman to Congress, and that’s exactly what we’ll do on June 20th.”

“We are blessed to have Republican leaders who want to make their community, state, and nation a better place. On behalf of all South Carolina Republicans, I want to thank Tommy Pope and the other candidates who sought this office and I look forward to working with all of them to unite the party and elect Ralph Norman on June 20th.”
