Columbia, SC.—South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Drew McKissick released the following statement today regarding the visits to the state by Pete Buttigieg and Joe Biden after they both lost to Bernie Sanders in the Nevada caucus:

“We are happy to welcome back two Democrat candidates who have NEVER won a state primary. Both Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg vastly underperformed in Nevada and if given the chance they’ll underperform in November. We look forward to running against whichever extremist the Democrats decide to nominate.”
