SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick: Municipal elections show Republican momentum still strong

(Columbia, S.C.) – The City of Georgetown elected three Republican city council members and a Republican mayor for the first time in city history. See below for SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick’s full statement:

”These long 10 months have shown everyone what a disaster it is when Democrats lead. In 2020, South Carolina Republicans had the most successful election cycle in more than 140 years,” said SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick. “That momentum is still going strong across the state, with a prime example being the city of Georgetown electing three Republican city council members and a Republican mayor for the first time ever. We look forward to continuing our great successes from 2020 and now 2021 into November 2022 and 2024.”
